A french woman Audrey Chabot, 34 year-old and a mother was on Thursday convicted and sentenced to 23 year jail term in prison by a court in Bourg-en-Bresse, near the French Alps, for killing her two children.
The court said the babies were drowned and stored in the freezer.
The court noted that Chabot had been convicted by a court in a different infanticide case in 2002, and sentenced to 15 years in prison.
It said she was released later released in 2010 after the psychiatrists who examined her deemed that there was little risk of a recurrence.
The case which came to light in 2013 when her then boyfriend found a small body in the freezer at her apartment has finally been laid to rest by this judgement. The body found in the freezer was that of an infant of about one week old.
